CLEANSING WITH OTHER CRYSTALS

Using other crystals to cleanse your crystals might sound counterintuitive, but there are a handful of crystals that make great cleansers! My favorite thing about using other crystals to cleanse my crystals is that it’s easy to do and attractive looking. That said, this can be one of the more expensive techniques for cleansing crystals. Here are my crystal cleansing techniques and their suggested uses.

As I’ve mentioned, clear quartz is a master healer and balancer. Place a large, cleansed, clear quartz near any smaller stones for 3 to 5 hours to cleanse them and bring them back into harmony.

Amethyst is in the quartz family and transmutes negative energy. It has long been used as a tool to cleanse and protect. Amethyst geodes make excellent healing tools because of all of their points, which direct their energy outward. You’ll need an amethyst geode that’s large enough to put your crystals on or inside it. Place your crystals on or inside the geode for a few hours or overnight.

Selenite has a very high vibration, which makes it an ideal cleanser for other crystals and objects. You can find selenite in a variety of shapes, but a selenite plate or wand are best for cleansing. To cleanse crystals with selenite you can set them on top of the selenite or wave a selenite wand around the crystal your cleansing for 1 to 2 minutes. Selenite is a very cleansing and high-vibrational stone, and will cleanse your crystals quickly. The beautiful thing about a selenite plate is that you can use it to cleanse anything you can fit on the selenite. I like to use my selenite plate to place my cup of water or tea on.
